SAMPE Orange County Meeting Notice

Mr. Hilblom has a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Illinois with a MBA from Lake Forest College. He has over 30 years experience in various thermoplastic and thermosetting plastics as an engineer and in a commercial capacity with Illinois Tool Works, Saint Gobain Performance Plastics and is currently an Application Development Specialist with Quadrant Engineering Plastic Products. He is a member of the SAMPE High Desert Chapter.

His topic is titled, “Advanced Engineering Plastics for Aerospace applications, Selection, Specification, and Availability.” This topic will deal with materials that are available as semi-finished engineered plastic shapes for machining various parts used in the aerospace market. It will deal with the proper way to select and specify these materials, the availability of these materials, and the differences between the processing of these materials.”
