Cerritos College Presents “Technology Training with State Funding”

TOPIC:

The CMTC / Cerritos College (CACT) outreach program and strategic partnership provides manufacturers with direct industry support and training here in Southern California. Utilizing all resources of CMTC and Cerritos, training and development programs benefit manufacturers by providing instruction and on-site training at their facilities. ETP funds from the State of California often offset the costs of these programs.

Training technologies include, but not limited to: Composites; Computer Science; Electronic Mfg.; CNC & Shop Practices; Management & Supervisory Skills; Maintenance; Market Skills; Maintenance; Market Skills thru 2010; Metallurgy& Materials Testing; Process Control; Plastics; Quality Systems; Skills Development; Textile & Garment Technology; Welding Technology.

Our current clients include: Lockheed Martin; Vought Aircraft; General Atomics; Boeing, Integrated Defense Systems; V System; Sparta; and ATK.

Cerritos College, founded in 1955, has evolved into one of the largest and most dynamic single-campus community college districts in California.

SPEAKER:

As Program Manager for California Manufacturing Technology Consulting, (CMTC), Ray Elledge manages the strategic partnership between CMTC and the California Applied Competitive Technology Division of Cerritos Community College. By permitting the sharing of resources between CMTC and Cerritos College, the partnership provides industry experts, expertise and facilities, all developed for the overall purpose of advancing California’s economic growth and global competitiveness in manufacturing.

Ray identifies and pursues with other business partners cooperative efforts that benefit and increase expertise and training for manufacturers in Southern California.

His previous experience includes: National Sales Manager, Assembly Guidance Laser Projection Composites; CCY, Yacht Broker & UKSCG Captain; Technical Sales Manager, Servco Industrial; President/Owner of Metrology Systems, Inc.; and Technical Service Manager, Cubic Precision & Surveyors Service Co.

Ray has a B.S. degree in Business & Management from the University of Phoenix and an A.S. degree in Industrial Technology from Orange Coast College.
