SAMPE Orange County Meeting Notice

Speaker: Orange County SAMPE Chapter's very own Pamela K Strong
Pamela K Strong is a 7-time Fellow! Pamela is our very own SAMPE
Fellow, as well as a Fellow for the American Institute of Chemists, the
Royal Australian Chemical Institute, the Society of Women Engineers
(SWE), the Society of Automotive Engineers [SAE] (Air, Land, and Space),
and is both a Boeing and ULA Associate Technical Fellow. Pamela has
served for many years on the Orange County SAMPE Chapter Board of
Directors. Pamela retired from Boeing, went to work for The Aerospace
Corporation, and is now moving to United Launch Alliance (ULA) in
Denver, CO.
Pamela will provide an overview of the merger of Boeing and Lockheed to
form ULA and will discuss her role in the newly formed ULA. Pamela will
also treat us with a DVD of the October 2007 SWE Awards and her
acceptance speech for SWE's highest award: The Achievement Award.
Pamela is leaving sunny California for the cold, snowy climate of
Denver. She has purchased a house up in the mountains where her
life-long dream will finally come true -- owning a kennel!! She will
miss all of her California friends, fellow SAMPE members, and
co-workers, but hopes they will visit her in Colorado.
Join us as we wish Pamela the best in this newest chapter in her career
and help us send her off in style!!
