Rock West’s Technical Presentation will explain how composites can fulfill different types of radio frequency (RF) requirements including transmission, reflection, and absorption of RF energy. It will explain what radomes “do”, how they are designed, and different constructions for different requirements.
Keith Loss is Vice President of Rock West Composites with more than 40 years of experience in composite structures that include radio frequency (RF) requirements in addition to structural and other specifications. Keith was an Engineering Manager for ATK San Diego and is a 2007 founder of Rock West when it was literally “two guys in a garage”.
Today Rock West has more than 400 employees and nearly 300,000 sq ft of manufacturing/office floorspace among its facilities in San Diego, Salt Lake City, and Tijuana, MX. Rock West specializes in design and fabrication of composite components for satellites, crewed and uncrewed aircraft, and ground applications. It also maintains an online store that sells composite materials (fabrics, prepregs, adhesives), tubes, plates, and manufacturing aids. It even offers commercial-off-the shelf (COTS) space-qualified tubes and sandwich structures under its “Strato-line” product list.
